Vox white plastic control knob, part number 09-107-0, used for volume and tone controls on British (JMI) Vox guitars from 1962 until 1967 - from the early versions of the Shadow and Stroller, right up to the final model, the Marauder.
Models also fitted with this part include: Ace, Bassmaster, Clubman, Clubman bass, Duotone, Escort and Soloist and . Some of these models may also have been fitted with other parts, see the Vox control knobs page for more details. JMI guitars destined for the US market often had knobs upgraded to metal.
Below: image of the unattached knob with grub screw in the foreground. This screw tightens against the potentiometer shaft to hold it in place. Control dimensions: width (at base) 19.2mm, height 13.7mm. Grub screw: slotted head, 3.5mm x 6.5mm.
Early examples of the Vox Shadow, and Super Ace were fitted with these white control knobs, however, later examples (i.e. three-pickup Shadows) were generally fitted with the otherwise identical black version of the same knob.
