This page shows three solid body instruments: one bass, the Vox Phantom, the innovative Vox Guitar Organ; plus the twelve-string Mando Guitar.
The Phantom Guitar Organ is described as follows:
A combination of Electronic Organ & Electric Guitar, the VOX Phantom Guitar Organ produces big organ tones using normal guitar playing techniques. A miniaturised organ unit is concealed in the body, alongside the normal guitar electronics. This operates over the full six strings and all fret positions. Automatic banjo and other percussion effects are obtainable.
1967 prices (UK, pre-decimalisation) were as follows: Phantom bass, £90 10s 6d; Guitar Organ, £207 13s 6d (the most expensive guitar in the Vox line); Mando Guitar, £58 11s 6d.
