The Vox Stinger IV bass was another in a line of Vox teardrop shaped guitars and basses, like the Vox Mark VI guitar, or Vox Wyman bass. The Stinger was built at the EME plant in Recanati in Italy for Vox; primarily for the American market. It was semi-acoustic with a fully hollow-body. Some very similar versions were built, including the Constellation IV, or V274, which had built-in effects circuitry: fuzz, treble/bass boost and G-tuner.
