The Bossman was an Italian-built Vox, manufactured at the E.M.E Vox plant in Recanati, for the American market. It was very similar to the Vox Apollo, a single pickup hollowbody, but with a different body cutaway style: Venetian rather than Florentine; neck inlays: dots rather than blocks; and scratchplate. Like many Italian Vox guitars of the period, it is fitted with onboard effects.
