Selmer had noticeably increased their flat top acoustic offering in this catalogue, with more guitars at more price points - both in six and twelve string configurations. This page details two new Hofner Country and Western Jumbos, new for 1968, the Hofner Arizona 6-string and Hofner Arizona 12-string. These models have a slightly smaller body size than the Hofner Acoustic shown on page 52 (15" wide vs 16 1/4" wide for the Acoustic), and, in turn, a slightly lower price.
Superbly designed and constructed to give that authentic country and western sound. Provides that great carrying power and excellent tone required for vocal accompaniment. Slim easy action neck for fast fingering. Heavy duty machine heads for fine tuning. A beautiful instrument that will be a favourite among C.W. enthusiasts.
1968/1969 UK prices for the Hofner Arizona guitars were as follows:
5152 | Arizona 6-string | 32 gns |
5153 | Arizona 12-string | 37 gns |
