This page details four flat top 'Country and Western' jumbo models first included in price lists in the summer of 1966. These are the six and twelve string Acoustic and six and twelve string Electro-Acoustic. All variants had the same large 20 1/8" x 16 1/4" x 4 3/4" body size.
Presenting to new jumbos - six- and 12-string models, with the authentic Country and Western sound. The fine quality materials used and clever construction of the bodies combine to provide great carrying power and excellent tone for vocal accompaniment. Slim, easy action neck for fast fingering techniques, and heavy-duty machine heads for fine tuning. Bridge fixing and internal strutting obviate the possibility of any body distortion. Both acoustic and electro-acoustic models are built to the high standard and finish associated with Hofner guitars.
1968/1969 UK prices for the Hofner Acoustic and Electro-Acoustic guitars were as follows:
5154 | Acoustic 6-string | 43 gns |
5155 | Electro-Acoustic 6-string | 57 gns |
5156 | Acoustic 12-string | 53 gns |
5157 | Electro-Acoustic 12-string | 65 gns |
