SJN Country Western and J-45 flat-top jumbo acoustics. These guitars have quite a lot in common: the same size, scale, and body/neck woods. The SJN was the natural finished equivalent of the SJ Southerner Jumbo; a finished spruce top with mahogany sides, back and neck. The J-45 was finished in walnut save the Cherry sunburst top. The fancier split parallelogram neck position markers and crown headstock inlay of the SJN largely accounted for the differences in price of the two models.
Country-Western artists have no greater favourite. They praise the SJN's improved jumbo size and shape, its deep resonance, powerful tone and de luxe appearance, and its Gibson quality
