The catalogue opens with the first (of three) pages of Moridaira acoustics. This page details two Moridaira classic acoustic guitars: models 9510 and 9511. Rosetti were clearly very proud to be Moridaira distributors:
We have been most fortunate in securing this valuable agency for Great Britain. In Japan, Moridaira guitars outsell all other brands. Increased production did not permit the introduction of this fine range of instruments in Europe until 1970. The quality control is generously guarded by the President, Mr. Moridaira.
A special journey to Japan was made to secure this agency. Rosetti policy is to buy Japanese guitars with a big name, as this ensures far superior quality control in comparison to instruments shipped with no brand name.
Model 9511 is described as follows:
Fine Spruce top, mahogany sides and back, rosewood fingerboard, lime wood neck, powerful machine heads with butterfly buttons.
1971 prices for these guitars were as follows: Moridaira 9510 £22.50; Moridaira 9511 £24.75.
