Epiphone solid electric bass, model EPI 9526 making it's first catalog appearance. Note the single sided Fender-style headstock - a feature of only the very earliest basses from mid-late 1970, and rarely seen in Epiphone publicity (this seems to be the only example?). This bass was initially known in the USA as the Epiphone 1820 - from mid 1972 it was given the name most people know it by: Epiphone ET-280).
The EPI 9526 solid body bass was described as follows:
Modern deep cutaway design, high gloss cherry-red finish, three-piece adjustable neck, Rosewood fingerboard, pearl dot inlays, two powerful bass pickups, pickup selector switch, volume control, tone control, adjustable bridge, foam rubber mute. Chrome plated parts
The 1970 UK launch price for the Epiphone 9525 was £59.75.
