Page 4 continues with the three Shaftesbury Rickenbacker-styled guitars that introduced the Shaftesbury name, in late 1968. These are the thinline 3261 six string, 3262 twelve string, and the 3263 bass. Rose-Morris were very well known for their distribution of Rickenbacker guitars and basses, however there was a real problem with availability. It would seem that the arrangement between Rickenbacker and Rose Morris was all-but ended by late 1967. The Shaftesbury copy guitars, coming less than a year later, were simply a response to a demand that the company previously couldn't fill.
This is the second catalog appearance of these guitars (see the 1968 Shaftesbury catalog), and the last appearance of the 3262 twelve string. The other two models were still available from Shaftesbury as late as 1974.
Three similarly styled semi–solid instruments in golden sunburst polyester finish. Neck incorporates steel truss rod. Rosewood fingerboard with pearloid position markers. Two humbucking pickup units with separate polepieces. Separate volume and tone controls for each pickup. Overall balance control and pickup selector switch. All-metal, fully adjustable bridge. In mid 1970, model 3261 had a UK list-price of £65; the 3262 twelve string, £67 10s; and the 3263 bass £67 17s.
