Hagstrom 1966 guitar catalog. Page 5, right hand page of a double page spread. The US distributor of Hagstrom guitars was Merson Musical Products, and it was this company who produced this catalog; consequently, the American model designations are given.
This page shows images of two older Hagstrom models, the F-11 / Hagstrom I and F-B / Hagstrom I B bass. Descriptions appear on the previous page). Both were on the way to deletion, being replaced by the F-200 guitar and F-400 bass, as described on pages 6 and 7. This was their final US catalog appearance.
All finish options available for these models are shown: red, white, blue and black. Actually, the F-11 and F-B were built with an unpainted plywood body, covered with a brightly colored acrylic fascia. Note the six screws on the guitar's front holding this in place.
In 1966 these guitars had United States list prices of $159.50 (F-11) and $165 (F-B bass). Cases were charged separately: Dura-Lyte Plush case: $31.50, Dura-Lyte "Tiger" case: $33.50, Dura-Lyte Flannel case: $24, economo case: $11.
