Single pickup electrics. The guitars on this page include two single pickup equivalents to the dual pickup electric acoustics on the previous page: the Guild Capri CE-100, Slim Jim T-100 and another non-cutaway guitar, available in standard (2 7/8") or thin (2") body, the Cordoba X-50 / T-50.
The Guild Cordoba was described as follows:
Two models engineered to the needs of advanced students. Body size of Model X-50 is 16 3/8" wide, 20 1/4" long, 2 7/8" deep. Body of Model T-50 "Slim" is only 2" deep. Both models have special Guild fast-action Honduras mahogany neck and adjustable steel neck rod, rosewood fingerboard with pearl position markers, short-action professional scale. Single built-in Guild "Frequency-Tested" pick-up has individual adjustment screws and separate tone and volume controls. Both models have nickel-plated non-slip pegs and accessories, plus Guild Strings.
The images of these three guitars hail from the early 1960s and had all been used repeatedly since at least 1962. Note the single coil white covered pickups.
All three of these guitars were available in Sunburst and Blonde finishes at the same price: in June 1968, US prices for these guitars were as follows: Capri CE-100 $315; Slim Jim T-100D $245, Cordoba X-50 / T-50 $199.50.
