The Gretsch 6070 bass was a single pickup hollowbody bass. The double pickup version was the 6072, and both were longscale (34 inch). This classic instrument was also known as the Country Gentleman bass.

This high quality instrument was launched in 1962, and production ceased in 1972.
SPECS: 17 inch double cutaway, 2 inches thick. Single pickup. Adjustable 4 string space control bridge. 24 carat gold plated metal parts. Bound f-holes. Built in muffler. Available in amber, red, and shaded sunburst finishes. Early versions had an extendable pin, to allow it to be played as an upright bass.
