The very fine Gretsch White Falcon was first produced in 1954, and demonstrated at the NAMM show later that year. It remained in production through to the early 1980s, with the demise of Gretsch guitar production. The White Falcon is a super flashy guitar, with its stunning looks, gold hardware, fine ornamentation, and large 17" body width. It has to be one of the most instantly recognisable of all electric guitars.
The White Falcon was described as follows in the 1965 Gretsch catalog
