The Flying V Bass was another limited production / test marketing Gibson Special (see the inner cover for an explanation of what constituted a 'Special'), only briefly available and making its only US catalog appearance here. It was listed here as available in Silverburst, Ebony or Blue finishes, however later Ivory was also added. Like the majority of other test concept guitars in this folder, it had a list price (1st January 1982) of $999.
