This pages describes the Gibson Kalamazoo Award, Super V CES and Johnny Smith, though the later is not pictured.
These were all high end jazz guitars. The Kalamazoo award, was incredibly exquisite; the 1981 UK list price of £4850 was over double the next most expensive model. The other two models described here were available in several variations. The Super V CES (which has the neck of a Super 400 attached to the body of an L-5CES) was available with humbuckers, or as the Super V BJB with a single floating jazz pickup. Likewise the Johnny Smith came as a single (JS) or dual (JSD) pickup guitar.
These models were all available in Natural and Antique Sunburst finishes, and an example of each is shown here.
1981 United Kingdom list prices were: JS £1850; JSD £2000; Super V CES £2000; Kalamazoo Award £4850.
