Up for sale is a 1981 Gibson USA The Paul empty husk. The headstock was cracked a while back. All breaks have been repaired. They are good solid repairs but the crack lines are still visible and can be felt. Lots of other cosmetic damage but it??s still a solid player. The entire guitar was finished with a glossy poly. This is a Gibson The Paul from 1985 that is very special indeed. The Pauls were typically natural finishes and this is a charcoal metallic finish that has aged to a really nice olive green that you would expect from a silverburst Custom of a similar age. The pickups are Tim Shaw PAF and sound great. The later The Pauls like this one have a relocated pickup selector to where the SG is, rather than behind the bridge which I prefer.
