The Paul, for example, was not listed in price lists until January 1979, and although the Les Paul Special Double Cutaway was listed in May 1978 at $619 (the same price as the Les Paul 55, see the previous page) it is not explicitly mentioned in the (admittedly often inaccurate) shipping figures until 1979.
