1975 Gibson solid body catalog. Page 8. Left hand page of a double page spread on the SG series, with this page on the SG Custom. By this time, the SG Custom had been in continual production since 1961, and although it changed subtly throughout the course of its manufacture (generally with respect to hardware, specifically the bridge and tailpiece), it was still very much the same guitar as it had always been. Although shown here with a stop tailpiece, at this point it was also available with a Bigsby vibrato.
In January 1975, the SG Custom had a US zone 1 price of $670 with the Bigsby-fitted model at $685.
