Right hand page of a double page spread on the low impedance Signature models, the Les Paul Signature guitar and Les Paul Signature bass. These semi-acoustic guitars didn't have the usual Les Paul body shape, but were visually striking with their gold top; like solid body Les Paul equivalents, the back and sides were not gold - in this case translucent Walnut. Sunburst examples were also produced, but these shipped in significantly lower quantities than the gold tops.
Other low-impedance models shown in this brochure include the Les Paul Recording and Triumph bass on the next two pages. These guitars had both previously been listed in the 1973 'Look ahead to Gibson' brochure, and had sold very well in 1974. Sales dropped off rapidly though, from 1975; this was the last catalogue appearance for both models.
January 1975 US prices for these models were: Les Paul Signature guitar $649; Les Paul Signature bass $629.
