Page 31 continues the Gibson flat top guitar series with three smaller 'standard size' acoustic models: the Gibson B-25, Gibson LG-0 and Gibson LG-1. All three of these guitars had the same dimensions, 14 1/2" wide - compared to 16 1/4" for the the Jumbo models shown on the previous pages. The B-25 (and B-25N, pictured) were first listed in Gibson pricing in late 1962, replacing the LG-2 and LG-3 models. These guitars were effectively the same as the LG-2/LG-3, having identical dimensions and construction. The LG-2 / B-25 had a Cherry Sunburst top, and the LG-3 / B-25N Natural. Like its predecessor, the LG-2 3/4, there was also a 3/4 scale B-25 3/4 / B-25N 3/4, listed at the same price as a full length model.
A grand concert flat top guitar with rich, mellow tone, extra power and deep resonance... more compact and easier to hold then jumbo models.
The LG-1 and LG-0 were hugely popular acoustics selling in very large numbers (see LG-0 shipping totals, LG-1 shipping totals), particularly in the mid 1960s. These guitars had a mahogany neck, back and rims, with a mahogany top for the LG-0 and Spruce for the LG-1
LG-1: Top value and low price make this Gibson flat top a popular seller. Quality materials and expert craftsmanship combine to produce its fine responsive tone and rich sunburst finish.
LG-0: A top seller, favoured by students, teachers, strolling players and anyone who wants to have fun with the guitar. Brings you Gibson quality at Gibson's lowest price.
These guitars had an April 1966 list price (zone 1) of: B-25 / B-25N / B-25 3/4 $147.50; LG-1 $125; LG-0 $105. At $105, the LG-0 was the least expensive Gibson guitar available in 1966 (alongside the TG-0, also $105).
