here we have a vintage 1920 Gibson model A-4 mandolin. the is no interior label but it does have a penciled serial number of 60476 and a factory order number ink stamped on the inner neck block of 11333. both numbers are correct for an instrument made by Gibson in the early 20's. the mandolin was purchased recently from a customer of ours who's grandmother had passed away and left them the mandolin, so she knew why it was put away in the closet because of the binding falling off. it now has ... more
