This listing is for a rare pair of two (2) 1972 Fender dealer display necks. There is one Stratocaster and one Telecaster. Both 1 piece maple. These necks were offered to dealers in 1972 to show customers how Fender necks were constructed and show the difference between the two different truss rod styles. While the Strat neck is dated 1972, the Tele has no date and may be older as it appears to be fully finished in nitrocellulose. Both are pre 2 string tree necks (2 string trees begin in early ... more

1972 Fender Mustang with a 1969 neck. Not sure the story here. Does not appear to be modified and looks all original. Not a lot of wear for a guitar of its age. Pickguard is split by one screw hole. Switches, and controls are all good. Pickguard is pretty stuck on and don't want to mess it up trying to remove it. Pot date cods look to be 1971. Plays and sounds great. Looks like original case that has writing in it. Cool vintage Fender guitar that will look even better at your ... more

This Fender Jaguar was made in the USA in 1972. While Fender made loads of Jaguars throughout the 1960's, relatively few were made during the 1970's and custom color examples from this period are exceedingly unusual. This example has a beautiful Lake Placid Blue finish. While Fender gave Jaguars and Jazzmaster of the 60's a matching headstock, along with Jazz Basses, by around 1970 or 1971 Fender stopped the matching headstock feature. This guitar is all original except that it has been... more
It was my dad's guitar, and he's had it for decades. He couldn't play, so it's not had much use, sadly. Would be nice tonsee it go to a good home There's some scratches to the front, as shown in the pictures, which is quite sad. The back looks OK, though. Oh, and there's a crack in the part where the strings attach to the base, also pictured It sounds nice ... more
