Fender 1970 guitar and bass catalog. Page 45. Details of the silverface Fender Dual Showman Reverb amplifier/cabinet.
The Dual Showman Reverb came as a 100w, ten tube, twin channel head, and a separate 2x15" speaker cabinet. Speakers were by JBL, but there was a choice of either D-130 or D-140 types. D-130 cones are lighter than the D-140 and have more of a high frequency response, great for brighter guitar tones; the D-140 has an extended low frequency response, hence great for a deeper guitar tone or even for bass.
April 1970 prices were as follows:
Dual Showman Reverb, 2 x JBL D-130 speakers: $1050
Dual Showman Reverb, 2 x JBL D-140 speakers: $1080
Dual Showman Reverb, head only: $560
cabinet only (JBL D-130 cones): $540
cabinet only (JBL D-140 cones): $570
