This page shows the late 1968 Fender Coronado guitar and Coronado bass range, pictured at Hollywood's Whiskey A-Go-Go venue, California - following on from descriptions / specifications on the previous page. The two single pickup instruments (Coronado I, Coronado Bass I) were deleted in early 1969 - this is their final catalog appearance. In fact, by the 1970 Fender catalog these guitars were only available in the Antigua finish shown on page 15, and were named accordingly: Antigua II, Antigua XII, Antigua Bass II.
The guitars shown, and their May 1969 prices were (from left to right): Sunburst Coronado II with tremolo - $390.50, Sunburst Coronado Bass I (unlisted), Coronado I without tremolo (unlisted), Coronado XII in DuPont custom finish - $493, Coronado Bass II in Shadow Red finish (?). For more details on Coronado pricing, see the previous page.
A light show with sound... that's the Fender Coronado quintet: Coronado I, Coronado II, Coronado 12-string, Coronado Bass I, and Coronado Bass II. These great guitars will turn on your audience and keep them on. When you're playing with a Fender Coronado, you're playing with fire.
