This single sided insert gives specifications for the Epiphone FT-132 flattop acoustic guitar, produced for Epiphone by Aria, at the Japanese Matsumoku plant. This guitar was not one of the first tranche of Japanese models, but was added to the flattop acoustic range at some point in early 1971. The FT-132 was listed in the US (June 1972) at $97.50.
This exciting new addition to the world renowned Epiphone line of guitars combines the features of quality materials, and superb performance. Resonant response throughout the entire playing register makes the FT-132 a real winner with guitarists that prefer tonal perfection.
The 'Pick Epiphone' folder, although dated 1971, was filled with inserts printed as early as late 1970, and as late as 1972. This insert comes from the second batch of the first series printed in early 1971, and is the first to show the Epiphone 'E' logo branding on the scratchplate and truss rod cover. This sheet was replaced with a newer version in late 1971.
