This single sided insert gives specifications for the Epiphone ET-278 solid body electric guitar, produced for Epiphone by Aria, at the Japanese Matsumoku plant.
Although functionally identical, this guitar was a slightly fancier version of the ET-275, on the previous page, having an ebony (rather than sunburst) finish, and bound neck / headstock. Model ET-278 had a list price (June 1972) of $159.50.
Here's an outstanding thin, solid body guitar designed for the professional who demands the finest quality at a modest price. The fast-action comfortable neck lets you play any music style with ease. It's striking appearance is matched only by its superb performance.
The 'Pick Epiphone' folder, although dated 1971, was filled with inserts printed as early as late 1970, and as late as 1972. This insert is batch of the final batch of four sheets, all showing new models, and printed in 1972.
This guitar is offered with a choice of Hard Shell case, H-43 at $42.50; or Durabilt case, #811, at $13 (June 1972).
