Epiphone 1961 full line catalog, page 10. The first page (of three) showing Epiphone Amplifiers. Eight models are shown in total, each with a model name shared with a (then) current or older guitar - though, naturally with differing product numbers. When some of these models appear in this catalog, it does seem somewhat unnecessarily confusing, but perhaps it was a means of inducing a guitar buyer to also purchase a matching amplifier?
This page shows the Epiphone Emperor (EA5RVT), Epiphone Deluxe (EA10RV), and Epiphone Zephyr (EA15RV) amplifiers. The Emperor and Deluxe were both 25w amps, with a single 15" speaker; the Zephyr was smaller: 14w with a single 12" speaker. Both the Emperor and Zephyr were redesigned/upgraded by the time of the next (1962) Epiphone catalog, whilst the Deluxe was discontinued - this is its only catalog appearance.
These three amplifiers are all equipped with Epiphone built-in reverberation:
In any room no matter how small or acoustically inadequate, an Epiphone amplifier with built-in reverberation provides concert hall sound quality. Tones sound true, and rich, and deep. Epiphone reverberation compensates for room deficiencies and helps the player to realise the full potential of his music.
