British advert for three Futurama guitars (Sophomore, 3 De Luxe and Duo) and three amplifiers (Bassist major 15, Caravelle 15 and Corvette 6). Futurama was Selmer's own brand, one they applied to a number of low-mid priced solid body guitars in the early-mid 1960s.
The Duo was the new name (no doubt to avoid confusion) applied to the old Futurama II solid after the addition of the (Hagstrom-made) Futurama II De Luxe in 1963
The ad suggests "start with Futurama... like George Harrison"
The guitar played (from late 1959) by Harrison was not one shown here; in fact it had been discontinued a year or so before this advert, and was the Delicia/Resonet built Futurama III Solid.
