Jimi Hendrix Experience - The Tremeloes - Procol Harum - The Cream - The Bee Gees - The Small Faces - Roy Orbison - Jimmy James & The Vagabonds - Spencer Davis
Marshall's solid sound is behind all these great groups. Marshall world's most powerful, distortion-free amplification equipment. Put Marshall behind you! Select your own particular set-up; over three dozen separate units -18 watts to 200 watts. Read all about it! Write your name and address on a postcard and send it to us. In return we'll send you all you want to know.
This advertisement ran from November 1967 until January 1968, but was actually a modified version of this advert from September / October. The difference is the removal of the Who in favour of Gary Brooker of Procul Harum. So why did this happen? Both the Who and Procul Harum had their biggest selling hits in 1967, and it could certainly be argued that the Who far better represented the Marshall sound than Procul Harum. Aswell as the image, the Who's name is also removed from the text!
Was this more to do with the ending of Rose-Morris' relationship with Rickenbacker than anything to do with music or musicians? Read more about the relationship of Rose Morris with Rickenbacker here
